Glamorous red nails take some beating in the style stakes and Dior have created a limited range of iconic reds that pay tribute to Christian Dior’s famous red dresses. This gorgeous trio of red nail polish from Dior is so elegant. Icone has a subtle pearl finish and is a tribute to Rouge Icone from the spring 1955 collection dress called Atout Coeur. Gruau pays hommage to the famous Dior illustrator and his use of flamboyant red in his illustrative work. Finally, Trafalgar (my favourite) is a poppy red with a hint of orange echos Dior’s love of drama. What I really like about this collection is that it is clear that the creators have gone back to the archives and pulled out inspirations spanning over 50 years that have relevance to the brand’s fashion credentials.
