Benefit Long Wear Powder Shadow

Well, hello there new Benefits! This is the upcoming range from Benefit inspired by Art Deco, and specifically The Golden Gate Bridge. Actually, it makes me think of the Flat Iron building in NYC, but they’ve done Deco proud, that’s for sure.

So, this is how the Creaseless Cream Shadow looks outside of the packaging – it’s too pretty. There are seven new shades joining the Creaseless team and I’ll get swatching as soon as I can, but already my favourite is the gorgeous lilac Always A Bridesmaid.

It’s the same exterior packaging for Benefit Longwear Powder Shadow, but inside it’s very different – the Creaseless shadows have a screw off lid, while these have a flip up.

So, now to my favourite things. The Ultra Plush Lipglosses. I started off trying to untie each little bow before realising that all you have to do is open it at the bottom..

I couldn’t love the detailing on the packaging more – I’m not particularly a fan of art deco, but the level of commitment to the theme is impressive; particularly the ends of the gloss.

See? There’s no need for that level of detail but it’s there because it makes the gloss look even better.

So, what do you think? This collection launches in May; Creaseless Shadows will be £15.50, Longwear Powder Shadows will be £15.50 and Gloss will be £14.50.
