Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask
Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask

I love face masks for their ability to make us just stop for ten minutes. It’s a purely psychological effect that we feel we can’t do anything with a mask on, so that’s all to the good! Doing nothing but waiting for your mask to work is ten minutes of down time that I’m sure we all deserve. However, I’m rediscovering the Caudalie masks at the moment and am so impressed, particularly with the Glycolic Mask, which I used lastnight.

Glycolic can sound way too serious and strong; it’s an off-putting ingredient I think because until brands learned to make it gentle by buffering it with other ingredients, glycolic acid was only for the seriously skin-care minded. In fact, I think I remember it being dermatologist only, back in the day. The Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask is for skin radiance – for sloughing away the residues of winter and bringing a bit of freshness back to the complexion. It’s so gentle on the skin – and after the required ten minutes, my skin was indeed, softer and brighter. It’s also good for hands – you’ll be amazed how a peel mask followed by hand cream can literally transform your hands!  At the end of the day, all glycolic is doing is taking off old cells and with them goes that city grey cast and any dullness.

I genuinely loved using the Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask and would highly recommend as a spring skin superstar. It’s recently undergone a revamp (with all the masks, and a new mask for skin detox) so you can find it in its old packaging for £23.50 HERE instead of £29. Same thing, different dress.
