This balm is one of those hidden gems that I would suggest to anyone prone to skin dryness to keep in the emergency beauty cupboard. I used it for the first time last night after getting a fright in the magnifiying mirror and realising my skin was absolutely parched (or I lost twenty something years somewhere and am now pensionable). I shoved on some Sarah Chapman oil and then over the top the Carita Balm and by morning.. big improvement. I’m so impressed with the balm (and always impressed with Sarah Chapman) because it doesn’t overload, but does soften and smooth the dryest skin.

Filled with a very concentrated formula of hazelnut, corn and macadamia oils (which on paper, I admit, doesn’t sound that sexy) as well as Vitamin E and shea butter, it has a velvety lightweight feel to it that balms don’t usually have. I’d say one night with this is akin to a three nights with Nude Replenishing Night Oil, and that in itself is rather amazing. It’s also very nice on the lips.

It’s absolutely lovely, and I notice that Feel Unique have it on offer for £19.05 (free delivery) instead of £23.
