If there’s one consolation about catching a red-eye flight, it’s the duty free shopping – and I head straight to the beauty department. I’ve just been sent a sample of this palette, Brasil Dream by Estee Lauder, that will only be available via travel retail to co-incide with the launch of the newest Lauder fragrance, also called Brasil Dream. Although the perfume sounds lovely – notes of pineapple, guava and orange blossom – I’m more taken with the palette that’s full of warm but vibrant tones for lip and eye. My usual bug-bear with palette brushes applies – they are teeny! – one long brush with a lip and eye end would have been much more useful than two fiddly sticks with sponge and bristle. It’s available from February at airports.

Please excuse the poor image taken by me – obviously I should have concentrated more in photography class….
