We’ve got to wait until September for The Body Shop Cushion Foundation but it’s very well worth the wait! I am a fan of cushions, even though my common sense self knows that you get a fraction of the product you would if you bought a full bottle! But, I like the very liquid nature of them which makes them more sheer and a complete doddle to blend nicely. I tend not to use the little sponges that come with the compacts but instead a foundation brush.
As I mentioned, it’s a September launch for The Body Shop Cushion Foundation and will cost £18. There will initally be five shades and the finish is a semi-matte. I like the sound of the ingredient line up that includes aloe vera (community trade), marula oil and English rose water for a nicely hydrating base.
I got a little peep at the upcoming Down To Earth Shadows but as these are the only samples in existence at the moment I couldn’t swatch them but thought you’d like a little look anyway.
The palettes launch in July with the quads at £15 and the larger palette at £23 and the shades are inspired by earth tones which you might have guessed from the name. There are five different quads, but only one of the larger palettes. I’ll cover these properly just as soon as samples come through but so far, so likey!

I must admit I was a bit vague when Lancome released their cushion foundation. I was a bit afraid that it might be a waste of money. I decided to buy the one that was launched recently by L’Oreal just to see how I feel about it and I must say that I really love it. It’s light, liquid product but very convenient packaging. I use my Zoeva brush and it’s great. Fantastic to hear that more brands are going for the same idea. Ideal for travelling.
I’ve been wanting to try cushion foundations for awhile. The Body Shop Cushion Foundation sounds perfect.

I’ll have to try a brush with the Etude House cushion colour correction compact I have. It’s really sheer and I’ve been struggling with it. Thanks Jane!
