Some newness from Bobbi in the form of Uber Basics separated into four beauty stories with a corresponding Sparkle Eye Shadow, Blush, Rich Lip Color and High Shimmer Gloss. The idea is that with a few of these basics you can transform your day look to night with the minimum of fuss. 

Sparkle Eye Shadow (above) comes in four shades; Bone (above), Cement, Taupe and Black Chocolate and is £20. It’s super-sparkling and I haven’t caught it on camera very well, but my goodness, it twinkles!

As you can see, the High Shimmer Lip Gloss really is very shimmery with pearl pigment set in a clear base(in Uber Suede lim.ed., Pastel, Bare Sparkle and Naked Plum), while Rich Lip Color in a nude selection (Uber Pink, Uber Beige, Uber Suede and Uber Nude Beige) is reassuringly sensible. All you need to do to rev it up is slick a coat of gloss over the top.

Uber Basics Blush comes in four shades as well in new Pretty Pink, new limited edition Pink Rose, Nude Pink and Plum.

Other than the blush, which I think is just a tad too basic and generic (you can buy those shades anywhere), the rest is very tempting. I love the idea of paring your make-up back to some high quality basics that really work and are adaptable to a number of looks. Of course, I am too far gone to ever do it in reality! 

The range launches in September.
