Wow, so Mavala weren’t so off the mark with their metallic collection that I showed recently, because along comes Barry M for spring with the Aquarium Nail collection. The colours mainly duo chrome with two glitters: above is Pacific, Mermaid and Arabian.
And above are: Treasure Chest, Mediterranean and Caspian.
Treasure Chest is a blend of pink and gold flakes – it’s absolutely gorgeous! It’s swatched at two coats but personally I’d be using this as a light catching top-coat over Caspian which looks like a flat gold at first until you realise that it’s got a turn of pink to it as well. In certain lights it’s gold, and in others it’s pink, but predominantly it’s a beautiful rose-gold.

I think the blues are less successful than the bronzer tones actually – they’re not quite as successful with the two-tone element, so my money is firmly on Mediterranean which is bronze/pink/gold all at once and I think the most interesting shade. They’re all £3.99 from March.

These look lush! I’m not fussed about the glitters (I find them a pain!) but the other colors are going to look so good once the sun comes out!
