I’m really easy to please when it comes to a patterned product – literally, just shove a star on it and I’m happy! I’m genuinly impressed with this three shade powder highlighter that partially doubles as an eye shadow – the Art Deco Arctic Beauty Highlighter – and its little overspray snowflake. Very cute, but needs careful brushwork if you’re to avoid a brown cheek.
There’s a blush version as well in shades of pink – perfect for when winter has drained out every ounce of colour from your face. In general, the whole Arctic Collection from Art Deco is a massive glitter splash, which I think is kind of a no-no; there’s highlighting and then there’s full watt lighting and there’s only so much shimmer one face can take. I haven’t swatched these properly yet – I’ll pop them on Instagram when I do, but if you’re picking one thing from the collection (if you pick it all you will be able to light up Oxford Street) then the Art Deco Arctic Beauty Highlighter does it for me. I love snowflakes so much, might have to pick these up just for that. Every year I go ask Pandora if they’ll sell me the Snowflake stand they use to display the charms… No such luck yet!
