I’ll say up front that the limited edition art set from Aerin is a US only, but it’s quite special in that it is for the opening of an exhibition at the Neue Galerie in New York, called Gustav Klimt and Adele Bloch-Bauer: The Woman in Gold. Klimt, I have heard of and seen his work, Bloch-Bauer, no clue!

Turns out this is she! Klimt’s most famous sitter. And the Aerin limited edition all comes full circle and makes sense when you know that the owner of the Neue Galerie is son of Estee Lauder, Ronald Lauder. His Wiki page makes for some very interesting reading, let me tell you!

Back to Adele.. Viennese by birth, she died in 1925, and was the only person to ever sit twice for Klimt. The painting, The Woman In Gold, took three years to complete, and it’s journey has been an interesting one, not least because it was confiscated by the Nazis.

However, limited edition sets like this don’t come up very often – I know that beauty brands often pair up with art and fashion (actually amazed that there is no beauty limited edition for the Alexander McQueen – I’d buy it, whatever it was!). One of the two shades (Sequin) is exclusive to the gallery. If you’re Stateside, the set is $64 HERE and is available for pre-order. If you’re outside of the US, I don’t have any answers!
