Accidentally (through laziness), I ended up putting Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in Lexington Gardens to a longevity test and it lasted a full week with no chips at all. But, over the top, I used the MAC Studio Blue Pearl Liquid Pigment Polish designed by Marian Newman to give the vibrant lilac shade an irridescent edge. People commented all week on the colour.

A week long no-chip mani is unheard of territory for me here so I’m more than impressed. It’s impossible to say whether it’s the two in combination or just Nails Inc being stellar here, because I didn’t do anything different when it came to caring for my mani (i.e. did nothing at all but hoped for the best!).

As you can see, the effect is a bit of butterfly wing and I’d certainly recommend the Blue Pearl Liquid Pigment Top Coat anyway – perfect to bring a twist to nude polish, which I’ve done before. I’ve really enjoyed wearing this combo; it’s a little bit unexpected and perfect for light-catchy summery days. You can find Marian’s top coat (£10) HERE and Nails Inc Lexington Gardens (£15) HERE.
