Estee Lauder Double Wear has always been known for it’s .. er.. weightiness, shall we say. It’s a full on coverage but none the worse for it – it’s a consistent best seller so it’s appealing to many, including me. But, as a personal preference, I like a bit of a dewy finish and regular Double Wear doesn’t deliver on that – it’s more a velvet finish.
So, good news for Double Wear fans that have that one niggle, because there’s a ‘glowy’ version on the way, Estee Lauder Double Wear All-Day BB Glow. I’d have to say, in testing, that it’s not ultra glowy – it’s got more of a sheen than regular Double Wear and I think that makes the complexion look softer and more vibrant. BB elements? I’m not sure – this is an early look – it certainly takes a little working into the skin and I’d be more inclined to use a brush than just fingers with this for a perfected finish. Estee Lauder Double Wear All-Day BB Glow has got an SPF30 which is quite high for a base and that probably accounts for the fact that it’s less fluid than other BB bases I’ve tried. It’s launching on 24th February.
