Palette Cherie Bow £59 |
You can probably imagine that I can do nothing but squeak in wonder at the gorgeousness of the Cherie Bow collection for Spring 2013 from Dior. Dior are very good to me but it’s not for that reason that I get so excited about their collections – it’s far more about the creativity at a level you don’t really see coming from anywhere else. A bow shaped compact? It shouldn’t work, but does. And the collections always tie into the heritage. You can see some really tenuous links going on with other brands, but here, the homage is to the bow that Christian Dior loved; it’s a very feminine touch and he was a man who understood femininity.
Dior Vernis, £18. |
Tyen, Creative Director of Dior Make-up, who translates and creates these beauties is pretty much my hero.
Dior Twinset Eyeshadow £24.50 |
Strangely enough, it’s these eyeshadow pens that I cannot wait to swatch…especially the bright pink. And probably because I won’t be able to bear to swatch the Bow palette right away..that kind of thing takes some leading up to!
Dior 5 Couleurs Palette, £41 |
Pink and black – I want this look now!
Dior Nail Glow, £18. |
Another little quirky product to make the collection even more playful – I’m not sure what it does yet, but you’ll be the first to know when I find out!
DiorBlush Pink Happiness, £29.50 |
So those are the main events for Dior Spring 2013 – there are different colourways to some of the items and I don’t have pictures of everything yet – but do you love it? I’d genuinely be interested in what you think of the creativity and look of this collection.
Oh, lastly, I should say, it’s really not so long to wait for it because it launches on 4th January in Selfridges and nationwide on the 18th.
